[PAST EVENT] First-gen Friday Showing Gratitude

November 15, 2024
3pm - 5pm
Location
The Daily Grind

November is a challenging time for everyone, especially if you are a college student. With being first-gen, limited income, it is easy to forget the main reason why we are all here: to get an education. This week’s activity will be focused on grounding ourselves, allowing LIFT students to set time aside to reflect, bond with friends, and share our experiences!

In theme of fall and Thanksgiving, we will be creating a First-Gen Limited Income Gratitude tree that will be full of leaves, turkey hands, etc that reflect what the first-generation community is grateful for. Additionally, to spread our gratitude around campus, students can also create and write thank you cards to give to people who have supported them throughout their journey! This event will take place on November 15th, this Friday, 3PM-5PM at the Daily Grind!
