[PAST EVENT] OTOD Event: Engaging W&M Students in Conservation & Justice at Highland
Location
Location not specifiedThe hallmark of the William & Mary education is that it extends beyond the classroom to engage students in research needed to address real-world challenges. This panel discussion will focus on a new student-led vision for William & Mary’s 535-acre campus at James Monroe’s Highland as an interactive field laboratory for students to engage in research that advances conservation and environmental justice in Virginia. A collaboration between the Charles Center, the Institute for Integrative Conservation and Highland, this research project will activate Highland as a center for place-based learning where students work alongside community stakeholders and conservation partners to address pressing issues.
