[PAST EVENT] BLSA Symposium Medical Mistreatment: Tackling Historical and Contemporary Inequities in Health Care

This year’s BLSA symposium will address the historical medical mistreatment of the Black community and how that has shaped today’s disparities. W&M Law Alumna Ndome Essoka '21 will discuss the historical disparities within maternal health care on Tuesday, March 22nd. Chief Pharmacy Officer at Advocate Aurora Health, Vincent Jackson will tackle contemporary inequities on Wednesday, March 23rd. CDC foundation Epidemiologist, Glahnnia Rates will cover inequalities exposed by COVID-19 alongside Professor Lewis.
