The William & Mary Symphony joins the Virginia Chamber Orchestra on March 26th at 8PM at Capital One Hall in Tysons Corner, VA to perform Dvorak’s cheerful Symphony No. 8, inspired by Bohemian folk tunes. Violinist Benny Netzer, winner of the Symphony’s Concerto Competition, will be featured soloist with the combined orchestras in the Allegro moderato from Wieniawski’s popular, romantic Violin Concerto in D minor. The VCO will perform Quiet City by the beloved American composer Aaron Copland and the WMSO will perform the famous Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony No. 5. Following their first international tour to Italy and Sicily in 2002, the William & Mary Symphony has performed in Paris and at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater.
