[PAST EVENT] Cookbook Pop-Up Exhibit
Access & Features
- Ticketed event
Join us on April 4, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., for a Cookbook Pop-Up Exhibit. This pop-up exhibit will showcase how cookbooks are a unique historical source. What can we learn from cookbooks that we can’t get from other sources? Visitors will be encouraged to share their own cookbook collections and/or cooking histories to incorporate their stories into the exhibit.
These programs are in partnership with Highland’s latest project, the Highland Descendants Foodways Project, a collaboration between Highland, the Council of Descendant Advisors, and William & Mary’s Institute for Integrative Conservation. This project explores how food and recipes help tell a community’s history, preserve its traditions, and create new connections.
Access to the Cookbook Pop-Up Exhibit is including with the purchase of general admission tickets. Make your reservation using the link.
