LElisir dAmore, or The Love Potion, is one of the most popular operas in the world today. It has a touching, lovable plot and beautiful melodies, including the famous tenor aria "Una Furtiva Lagrima." The prize-winning cast includes tenor Jonathan Blalock as the shy Nemorino, baritone Gustavo Feulien as the dashing Belcore, bass-baritone Sidney Outlaw as Doctor Dulcamara, soprano Tal Ganor as the spunky Adina, and soprano Faustine de Mones as Gianetta. The timeless story and the complex and believable characters come to life with a beautiful, nuanced performance by the outstanding cast directed by Carlos Conde. Conducted by Jorge Parodi. Fully staged with piano, violin, and clarinet accompaniment. In Italian, with English Supertitles. For details please see www.operainwilliamsburg.org.
