Widely regarded as perhaps the best literary journalist writing today, Sullivan is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and the southern editor of The Paris Review. He's written for GQ, Harper's Magazine and Oxford American. He is the recipient of a Whiting Award for emerging writers and two National Magazine Awards for feature writing. He is the author of Blood Horses and Pulphead, a recent collection of essays that has elicited a sustained howl of praise, drawing comparisons with Hunter S. Thompson, David Foster Wallace and Joan Didion.
