The Center for Racial & Social Justice will be in Room 127 on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 5pm to gather and write public comments on the Department of Education’s proposed rule on transgender athletes.

All students are encouraged to come and write public comments regardless of prior knowledge, so the Center will provide information about the proposed rule, applicable Title IX law, and how to write effective public comments. The Center will ask students who wish to join us to submit a response to the survey attached to this announcement so we can distribute this information to those who wish to review it before attending the event. Please join us in learning more about Title IX, gaining experience with writing comments, enjoying snacks, and most importantly advocating for the transgender community!
