Anxious about what to eat, when to eat it and how much to eat? You are not alone! During the college years, students often struggle with maintaining healthy eating habits. Irregular class schedules, variable homework loads, limited finances and access to food can disrupt normal eating patterns among college students, leading to unhealthy habits that may be hard to break. Despite these difficulties, it is important for students to find time for nutritious and varied foods. There are many actions that college students can take to eat in a healthful way and enjoy their college years without jeopardizing their health.

In this workshop, Registered Dietitian and Clinical Nutritionist Marcia Dadds will talk with students about issues such as how to make healthy choices in the dining halls, quick and healthy dinner ideas, how to select appropriate portion sizes, healthy snacking tips and weight management strategies. Between all of the diet books, magazines and TV commercials, it is difficult to know if the nutrition advice you are getting is credible or if it is just a marketing ploy to get you to buy a product. Take advantage of this opportunity to ask a professional all of your nutrition-related questions for free!
