On Dec. 5 from 4-5 p.m., Terry Meyers and Kate McCallister will lead a gallery talk on the library’s “Life Hath Mutable Wings” exhibit. This exhibit, located in the Special Collections lobby, celebrates the life and work of English poet Algernon Charles Swinburne, best known for his vivid and lyrical poetry and his influence on the Decadent and Aesthetic movements. The exhibit was curated by McCallister. The exhibit materials were gathered by Meyers, who along with his wife, Shelia, donated the collection to the library for research and learning of this writer. Light refreshments served. Free and open to the public.
