Join William & Mary Libraries’ Special Collections, Lips, and the Latin American Student Union (LASU) for an evening focused on zines—self-published works that embrace DIY culture for sharing one’s thoughts, feelings, creativity, experience, or knowledge with others.

We will explore zine history, seek inspiration from zines housed within Special Collections’ Zine Collection, and create some of our own collages and zines under the direction of veteran zine creators from Lips, a queer art collective at William & Mary that makes periodic zine publications through artist submissions. All are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
