[PAST EVENT] And The Sun Stood Still - a staged reading
February 22, 2014
4pm - 6pm
W&M Theatre presents a staged reading of And the Sun Stood Still, by science writer and Pulitzer finalist Dava Sobel. The play dramatizes the events that led Nicolaus Copernicus to publish his "radical" ideas of a sun-centric cosmos, which forever altered humankind's understanding of our place in the universe.
Sobel, author of Longitude, Galileo's Daughter, and A More Perfect Heaven, will be in attendance and will participate in a Q&A and book signing following the reading.
This event - part of the {{http://www.wm.edu/as/physics/news/newton-day.php, Physics Department's Newton Day}} - will take place at 4:00pm in Andrews Hall 101 on Saturday, February 22nd. Admission is free.
