Come celebrate the Release of Forms of Devotion in Early English Poetry" by Prof. Jen Lorden in Tucker Hall. 

"Forms of Devotion in Early English Poetry offers a history of the hybrid poetics of feeling in the earliest English poetry. Challenging narratives by which deeply felt devotion only arises in art of the later Middle Ages, Forms of Devotion instead reveals how the forms of earlier English poetry continually recombine with new literary conventions across the longer history of medieval English. By revealing the shifting, hybrid poetics of early English verse, Forms of Devotion uncovers the buried feelings of medieval literary and cultural history."
