Please join us on Tuesday, April 9th @ 5:00 p.m. in Boswell 220, for a lecture by Dr. Thomas Biggs, University of St. Andrews. This lecture will explore one of the oldest topics in the study of Vergil`s Aeneid: the relationship between the epic and those of Homer. Dr. Biggs will offer new perspectives on the Aeneid`s transformation of literary models and the impact such transformation has on the sex and gender of the poem`s characters.
