"Ancient Israel, Judah, and Greece" - Professor Andrew Tobolowsky 

Prof. Tobolowsky will talk about his forthcoming book, Ancient Israel, Judah, and Greece. He will discuss the history of using comparisons with ancient Greek traditions to study the Hebrew Bible, and why those comparisons tended to have serious flaws. Then he will introduce the new approach he has developed, and what it can offer to both disciplines.
