[PAST EVENT] Poet Joshua Poteat opens W&M Writers Series

Poteat's first book, Ornithologies, won the Robert Dana Prize in Poetry at Anhinga Press in 2004 and his chapbook, Meditations, was given the National Chapbook Award by the Poetry Society of America. His second book, Illustrating the Machine that Makes the World: From J.G. Hecks 1851 Pictorial Archive of Nature and Science, was accepted as part of the Contemporary Poets Series from the University of Georgia Press/Virginia Quarterly Review.
