Dr. Maya Angelou, hailed as one of the greatest voices of contemporary black literature, will be speaking at the College as the centerpiece of I Am William & Mary Week!

Dr. Angelou is a world-renown poet, historian, author, actress, playwright, civil-rights activist, producer and director. She has authored twelve best-selling books and numerous magazine articles, earning her Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award Nominations. William & Mary is pleased to showcase Dr. Angelou's talents as part of a week-long celebration of diversity here at the College.

This event is made possible by a collaboration between the W&M Student Assembly, Alma Mater Productions, the Center for Student Leadership Development,the Center for Student Diversity, the Office of University Development, and the President's Office with additional support from the Janet and Peter Atwater Lecture Endowment.

Important Ticket Information:

Tickets will be made available for purchase by William & Mary faculty and staff members at $10 and the general public at $15 beginning Friday, March 21st at 9:00am. There is a four ticket limit per purchaser and you must enter the special offer code, MAYA14, to receive the discounted ticket price.

You will be able to print your ticket, pick up it up at the box office during business hours or pick it up the day of the event. Seating for the event will be first come, first serve and you must have a ticket to enter the arena.
