[PAST EVENT] Counselors & Educators for Social Justice--First Meeting
September 8, 2014
7:15pm - 9pm
Counselors & Educators for Social Justice (CESJ), formed in 2013 out of the idea that many students at William & Mary have an interest in social justice and advocacy, but may not have a space to act on or dialogue about these interests. CESJ seeks to provide a space for advocacy, volunteering, and dialogue among students and faculty. We host monthly events ranging from volunteering at a homeless shelter to watching a documentary to hosting guest speakers.
This year, we welcome all students, faculty, and alumni. Whether social justice is already an interest of yours, or you're looking to learn more about the topic, we encourage you to stop by a meeting or event when you can. Our first meeting will be held this Monday, September 8, at 7:15pm in Room 2010 at the School of Education. We'll be introducing CESJ, gathering ideas for events for the year, and dialoguing about recent events such as those in Ferguson, MO. Also, we'll have FREE food! Hope to see you there!
