[PAST EVENT] Colonial Kicks Men's Soccer Camp
July 26, 2015 - July 29, 2015
College ID Program: All rising 10th graders and up will be placed in our College ID Program (rising freshmen may also participate in this program with approval from the Camp Director). Goalkeepers must sign up for the Colonial Kicks Goalkeeping Academy. The I.D. program will operate with the goal of providing campers with feedback regarding opportunities to compete in intercollegiate soccer. While the on-field program remains similar for all ages, College ID Program participants will be coached exclusively by college head or assistant coaches. There will also be a college soccer forum on Tuesday night. In addition, each College ID Program participant will receive an evaluation providing feedback on where he may fit in the college soccer picture.
Summer Soccer Camp: The camp is for boys ages 10 and up. Players will be grouped with others of similar age and/or ability dependent upon enrollment. Exceptions to the age limits are possible, but must be approved by the Camp Director.
Cost: The cost is $545 for residents and $415 for commuters for the Colonial Kicks Soccer Camp. For pricing on the Colonial Kicks Goalkeeping Academy, please click on the Goalkeeping Academy tab. Residential campers will receive room, board, and a camp t-shirt. A discount of $45 per camper will be given to teams of 10 or more. Teams must notify the Camp Director of their intention to attend as a team, in order to receive the discount.
Commuter Option: Campers in all programs have the option of registering as commuters. Commuters are expected to arrive on Sunday and register at the same time as everyone else and will need to bring soccer equipment as we will be playing. Commuters will receive dinner that day as well as lunch and dinner on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, we depart before lunch, so commuters will not receive a meal that day. Commuters will also receive a camp t-shirt. During breaks, there are numerous common areas and lounges in which commuters can rest.
Instruction: The philosophy of the Colonial Soccer Kicks Soccer Camp is to create a fun, welcoming soccer environment that focuses on the continuing technical and tactical development of each individual, regardless of where he may be starting. All staff members are experienced and well-qualified to help facilitate a fantastic soccer experience. Each camper will receive a written evaluation at the end of camp.
Special Features: A lighted, full-size, artificial turf field will be used for training, matches, special activities and small-sided games. Awards will be given for various competitions held throughout the week. There will be a trip to Colonial Williamsburg on Wednesday evening for all campers at no extra cost.
