The goal of the conference is to embody Martin Luther King Jr.'s conceptions of a "beloved community" where diverse groups of individuals focus on inclusivity and are intentional about disallowing racism and overcoming differences nonviolently and respectfully. There will be an event happening every day through the dates listed above. These events will include speakers, photo shoots, documentary showings, spoken word performances, and much more. Notably, a lawyer from Ferguson Action's National Lawyer's Guild is coming to speak during the week. Again, the objective of this conference is to educate the W&M and Williamsburg community's about racism, as well as create solutions to combat systemic and institutional racism throughout the course of the week.
