[PAST EVENT] Virginia Shakespeare Festival: All's Well That Ends Well
Once upon a time, in a land we'll call France, there lived a beautiful servant girl, in love with a young nobleman that she hardly dared dream of gaining. Welcome to the fairy tale that is director Steven Breese's production of one of Shakespeare's most delicate comedies. Enter a swashbuckling society (think Three Musketeers) where to go war is the greatest honorable adventure. Of course, where we have nobility we also have the pretenders, the blowhards, and servants much smarter than their masters. Come see one of Shakespeare's greatest heroines overcome the odds in pursuit of her dream. Steven Breese's productions of Romeo & Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, and Two Gentlemen of Verona have delighted VSF audiences in the past with their invention and musicality and we're so glad to have him back for this much overlooked gem of a play.
