The Society of Women in Computing at William & Mary (SWC) is excited to host a free screening of CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap, produced by Robin Hauser Reynolds. It premiered in April 2015 at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC and has since been screened at the White House, Congress, and by numerous large tech corporations including Microsoft and Google. We'll be providing popcorn too, so be sure to join us and bring your friends/share the event! Visit our facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1463830376961722/) for more information.

From https://www.codedoc.co/ :

CODE documentary exposes the dearth of American female and minority software engineers and explores the reasons for this gender gap. CODE raises the question: what would society gain from having more women and minorities code?

If you're a consumer of the products that come from Silicon Valley, and not necessarily a greater of them, you may not have considered who's working hard to deliver us these luxuries. This film offers insight into the inner workings of the tech world, and will forever change the way you view equality.
