Bonerz’s appearance is free and open to the public, with a reception to follow.
From 1972 to 1978, Bonerz was a regular weekly cast member on the popular television comedy series “The Bob Newhart Show.” He played Bob’s best friend “Jerry” and also directed many episodes.
After the series ended, he shifted his focus primarily towards directing TV comedies. Bonerz has directed hundreds of hours of television, including episodes of “Friends,” “Home Improvement,” “News Radio,” “Just Shoot Me” and 93 episodes of “Murphy Brown.” In more recent years, he created, taught and oversaw the situation comedy class at the University of Southern California.
