Join us at the Special Collections Research Center in Swem Library for the opportunity to view materials related to African American women. The open house is in conjunction with The Lemon Project: A Journey of Reconciliation’s 10th Annual Symposium "When and Where They Enter: Four Centuries of Black Women in America," taking place on March 19-21, 2020.  Materials available for viewing will include Florence Barber’s 1902 Diary of Norfolk, Virginia (granddaughter of Solomon Northrup) and the QuoVadis Williams Wright papers, which document multiple generations of Black business owners in Williamsburg. Everyone is welcome to stop by, view these important archival materials, and enjoy light refreshments. For more information on the symposium.
