Characters in AFTEREARTH

AASI and Rainbow Coalition are hosting Jess X. Snow, a queer migrant Asian-Canadian artist, filmmaker, and pushcart-nominated poet on April 17th, Wednesday. Join us in a screening of the film AFTEREARTH at 7 PM followed by a poetry recital and Q & A.

Description of AFTEREARTH: As rising sea levels threaten the loss of their motherland in Hawai’i, the Philippines, China and North America, four women fight to preserve the volcano, ocean, land and air for future generations in an immersive three-channel documentary created by a mostly LGBTQIA cast and crew of queer Asian/Pacific Islander elders and youth.

Before the screening, join Jess X. Snow in a poetry and media workshop where we will share and examine our relationships with the elements, our motherlands and land in the present and future. It will be 5 - 6 PM in Tyler Hall 133. 30 limited spots!!!
