Join us to hear Anne Balay talk about why gay steelworkers opted to remain invisible, and how and why that is now changing. A reception in the foyer of Tucker Hall will follow the lecture.

Join the Remembering Slavery, Resistance, and Freedom Project and The Virginia Foundation for the Humanities for a community conversation about the changing meanings of freedom and equality in America. Participation is free but registration is required.

Please join Africana Studies' First Friday Lecture with Professor Gerard Chouin. His lecture is entitled, "Against the Current: Building evidence of the spread and impact of Bubonic Plague in sub-Saharan Africa (6th-20th c. CE)."
