The core Fulbright Scholar Program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year. Grantees lecture and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.

Incoming students (freshmen and transfer) wishing to continue the study of Japanese must take the placement exam. It will be offered on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 9:00-10:00 and again from 11:00-12:00 in Washington Hall 310.

Students wishing to continue study of Italian must take the placement test before the start of the semester. It will be offered on Monday, August 27th in Washington Hall rm. 308 at both 9 am and 10 am.

Students wishing to continue study of Chinese must take the placement test before the start of the semester. It will be offered Monday, August 27th in Washington Hall rm. 317 at both 10 am and 11 am. Student may take either session.

Arabic Language Placement Exam Incoming students (freshmen and transfer) wishing to continue the study of Arabic must take the placement exam. It will be offered on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 11:00-12:00 in Washington 308

Incoming freshmen and transfer students wishing to continue their study of Russian must take the placement test before the start of the semester. It will be offered on Monday, August 27, in Washington Hall, room 308, from 12-1 p.m.

This workshop presents information and advice on applying to graduate and professional programs, including details on the various admission tests, personal statements, references, and appropriate application timelines.

Media Arabic 303 Prof. Cherkaoui Tues-Thurs 12:30-1:50 This course, concentrating on Arabic as used in television, radio and written media (newspapers, magazines), involves intensive reading and listening exercises of authentic materials.

The Project on International Peace and Security (PIPS) is an elite undergraduate think tank that seeks to make original and meaningful contributions to policy debates. Application deadline is August 15, 2012.
