The reception will open with brief words from Chair of Committee, Jacquelyn McLendon, and from President Reveley. The mural created by students in an AFST workshop (crosslisted with Art) and others in the communities will be unveiled. It is meant to pay tribute to the Black presence at William & Mary, will become part of the president's art collection, and will have a permanent place in Swem Library. Afterward we will move to the Read & Relax Room for a dramatic interpretation by Valarie Gray Holmes of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Please RSVP by August 25 online or call 757-221-7872. Evening parking passes are available for a small fee at Parking Services.
