Drawing on her experience as a legislative lawyer, lobbyist, and communications strategist in leading civil rights organizations, Lara Schwartz understands how to lay the groundwork for important, tough conversations across differences. Driven by the conviction that higher education is, and should be, an experience where students are exposed to unfamiliar ideas and new perspectives—in the classroom and beyond, Lara's work grapples with the complexities of free speech in a polarized era and offers a framework for productive, truthful discourse that is honest, intellectually rigorous, and respectful. She will explore the intersection of market dynamics and democratic principles in the workplace, emphasizing the role of open dialogue and diverse viewpoints in fostering a more inclusive and equitable business environment.

This event is free and open to the public. To ensure there is sufficient seating, please RSVP. If you need accommodations, please email Dr. Phil Wagner [[pewagner]] at least 24 hours before the event
