Since 2012, William & Mary’s Camp Launch, a privately funded two-week residential summer program for middle and high school students hosted by the Center for Gifted Education, has been changing the lives of high-ability youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Designed to provide students with a vision for the future that extends beyond the world they know and to instill a love of learning, Camp Launch allows participants to explore STEM fields, writing and personal development. An exciting new opportunity will be available for campers in 2021 with the addition of day and residential marine science programs offered at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS). Join us for this webinar as we discuss the impact Camp Launch has had on providing equal access to educational opportunities, building stronger communities and developing a pipeline for diversity in STEM fields.
