On Saturday, June 11, from 1:00-4:00 p.m, join us for Descendants Day at Highland, located in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Highland Council of Descendant Advisors invites you to an afternoon with other individuals and descendant communities whose ancestors were enslaved in Central Virginia and beyond. Guests will enjoy refreshments, music, resources, and stories. Space is available to display your community resources and stories. This event is free and open to the public.
