Dr. Acabado has widespread research interests which include: human environment interactions, indigenous responses to colonialism, traditional irrigated farming, highland agricultural systems in SE Asia, ethnographic studies of agricultural systems as living cultural landscapes, indigenous archaeology, community based archaeology, and cultural heritage.
