Alpha Psi Omega presents its annual 24 Hour Play Festival, a long-running tradition that kicks off each academic year with an exciting, whirlwind theatre-making experience. A team of (only) students come together to audition, create, rehearse and perform brand new plays all within a 24-hour period.
This year?s Festival will center around themes, of women and their impact on W&M, including lines, quotes, and anecdotes from some of the more famous female alumna. The Festival is meant to underscore the ongoing celebration around the university this year commemorating 100 Year of Women at William & Mary.
This annual production is sponsored by Alpha Psi Omega, a national theatre honor fraternity, founded with the purpose of providing acknowledgement to those demonstrating a high standard of accomplishment in theatre and, through the expansion of Alpha Psi Omega among colleges and universities, providing a wider fellowship for those interested in theatre. William & Mary?s chapter, Alpha Delta Nu, has a relationship with Clowns Without Borders, an international humanitarian organization of clowns that perform for free for children affected by war. All proceeds from this year's festival will go towards Clowns Without Boards and their mission of bringing laughter to families in crisis zones
