The WMCI invites you to celebrate UN Chinese Language Day at the Chinese House. The United Nations dedicates one day of celebration and appreciation each year for each of its six official languages, one of which is Chinese. Chinese is a fascinating language with complex and ancient oral and written histories. This celebration will offer a small taste of the language and culture!
At the Chinese House, there will be games like mahjong, as well as activities related to the Chinese language. We will also be serving authentic Chinese refreshments from Peter Chang. If you would like to stop by to practice your language skills, or are just interested in learning a little more about the culture, this is a perfect event for you!
The event will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Chinese House, on the first floor of Preston Hall, 500 Ukrop Way.
This event is free and open to the public! Feel free to drop in any time throughout the event.
