[PAST EVENT] WOTUS: Waters of the United States and Clean Water Act Jurisdiction -- Where are We Now?

Margaret "Peggy" Strand is a 1976 W&M Law School alum. Upon graduating, she went to work for the US Justice Department, rising to Chief of the Environmental Defense Section, Environmental and Natural Resources Division. She is a prominent author on issues surrounding Clean Water Act jurisdiction and has filled leadership roles in work with prestigious organizations such as the National Academy of Sciences, the ABA's Section on Environment, Energy and Resources Law, the Environmental Law Institute, and the Environmental Law Reporter.
She is a nationally recognized expert on wetlands law whose expertise and reputation in the Clean Water Act arena are unmatched. She is the author, along with Lowell Rothschild, of the Environmental Law Institute's Wetlands Deskbook, "the" handbook used by practicing lawyers in the field of wetlands law. It is now in its 4th edition.
She is currently a partner with Venable LLP.
