The ancient Chinese martial art of Taiji combines breath work, balance practice, and intentional movement into one beautiful and calming method of meditation. Yang Style Taiji incorporates the best classical exercises, such as Qigong, Bagua, and Xingyi, into a unified Taiji practice that reduces physical pain, relieves mental stress, and improves sleep quality. The course is taught at beginner level and open to students of all skill types. Stan Rockwell, an experienced local martial arts master, teaches the classes.

Classes occur on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30, from February 2nd-April 12th, with no class on March 8th. Class will occur in Chesapeake B, Sadler Center.

The cost for each class is $10. In spring 2016, the Taiji class will meet 10 times throughout the semester, total cost $100. W&M faculty, staff, and students always receive a 50% discount ($50 for 10 classes). Payment is due on the first day of class, and we accept cash or check.
