[PAST EVENT] Quirky Teaching Techniques that Work
April 26, 2016
12:30pm - 1:30pm
Are you interested in giving assignments that require students to engage deeply with course materials ? and that are actually fun for you to assess? Would you like strategies ? that work! ? for giving an interactive quiz, creating a class poster conference, or encouraging students to reflect on, and direct, their own learning? Sometimes even eccentric teaching techniques can be effective. We?ll present three ?quirky? assignments that we?ve used in our own classes and that can be easily adapted to other courses. Then we?ll open up the discussion for you to ask questions about our techniques or share your own teaching ideas.
Faculty and graduate students are invited to attend the last Teaching Project workshop of the semester. Lunch will be provided.
If you?d like to attend, please rsvp to [[m|jxschw,Joel Schwartz]] by return email.
