Visit with alumni and professionals working in creative industries in Washington, D.C. Learn about the organizations and roles, career paths, opportunities, and get a behind the scenes exclusive tour. Space is limited, reserve your seat today!
Fee - $50
Schedule:
6:45 AM – Bus departs W&M
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Site 1 visit - The Kennedy Center
Professional panel and behind the scenes tour
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Lunch on your own (near the Smithsonian)
1:30 – 4:00 PM: Site 2 visit – Smithsonian American Art Museum
1:30 – 2:00 pm – Jane Carpenter-Rock '92, intro and Q&A
2:00 – 3:00 pm – panel of Smithsonian Alumni
Ryan Lintelman ’09, Entertainment Curator at the National Museum of American History
Hannah Ostroff ’13, Former Digital Communications Editor at the Smithsonian Institution
Ada Hinton '19, Social Media Specialist at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery
3:00 – 4:00 – curated private American Art Museum tour
4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Bathroom break/gather items/grab snacks
4:45 PM: depart for Williamsburg
7:45 PM-8:15 PM: Bus arrives in Williamsburg
Please note, you are not fully registered until you pay the fee and fill out the waiver form (attached below). You can bring the waiver form into the Cohen Career Center or fill out the form on site. If you do not wish to take the bus back to Williamsburg please let the trek director know ahead of time.

Pay your participation fee of $50.00 and submit the Travel Liability Form by visiting the front desk in the Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement at the Cohen Career Center. Travel Liability Forms will be available to fill out at the front desk if needed.
To submit your participation fee, the preferred method of payment is by paying with a credit/debit card via our virtual storefront. More information will be provided when you visit the front desk. For questions regarding the payment methods, please contact career@wm.edu.
Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend after your registration has been processed, please contact career@wm.edu prior to September 30, 2023. Cancellations made after September 30 will not be guaranteed a refund.
