Location

The annual Eastern Virginia Writing Project Summer Institute includes five days in the summer and four additional meeting times throughout the fall and spring semester. After participants apply and are invited to join the Summer Institute, they will come to William & Mary for day-long workshops that blend social justice and classroom techniques with writing exercises and different forms of storytelling. Participants write daily, working toward published pieces of their own, and design teaching and learning inquiries to use with their students in the classroom.

The summer invitational and follow-up meetings are free, but participation is by application only. To be considered, applications must be completed by midnight EST on March 15, 2019. Notifications will be sent to selected participants no later than April 1, 2019.
