[PAST EVENT] In Support of our AAPI Community - An Hour of Reflection
We have all heard about the devastating attacks on the Asian community, which have increased in recent days. We respect all ethnic and cultural identities at the School of Education and support our Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander students, faculty, and staff.
At the School of Education, all forms of racism, discrimination, and xenophobia are inconsistent with our values and beliefs. We also realize that many individuals in our community are having a very difficult time and we want to offer support, to let you know that we are here to walk with you during this time. Join our community for an Hour of Reflection at noon on March 19 as a show of solidarity with our AAPI community. This will be an opportunity to process, share, reflect, and be embraced by our community.

It is also important for us to note that if you are experiencing (or if you witness) racism and/or xenophobia to report it to the Compliance & Equity Office at reportconcern@wm.edu or via the university’s online Report It portal. You can also reach out to Dr. Natoya Haskins, Director of Diversity & Inclusion, for support. In addition, counseling support is available through our Wellness Center.
