Topics will include innovative approaches to mental health service delivery in schools; the role of teachers and other school professionals in children?s mental health; collaboration between schools and community agencies; and research needs on school-based mental health.

All faculty, students and staff are welcome to attend.

Betsy Talbott earned her PhD from the University of Virginia and is Associate Professor of Special Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is past-president and legislative advocate for the Council for Exceptional Children-Division for Research. In her work, Talbott addresses the mental health and academic needs of urban youth with disabilities.
