Complementing this year's Institute for Integrative Conservation Speaker Series theme: "Reimagining Protected Area Conservation", the IIC presents "Love is the Way".
This film brings together voices in defense of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, highlighting generations of stewardship by Gwich'in and Iñupiaq people.
The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is a landscape of connections. This place is the heart of generations of protection, lifelong friendships, and iconic wildlife migrations.
Love is the Way tells the stories of these connections and the power of the continuing efforts to keep oil companies out of the Refuge’s sacred coastal plain. Check out the trailer.
This film streaming is a precursor to IIC's upcoming September 22 outdoor screening of "Invisible Hand", an award-winning film exploring the rights of nature (see separate event listing).
The Institute for Integrative Conservation presents Love is the Way in collaboration with the Wild & Scenic Film Festival.
