Global Studies proudly presents a brownbag seminar with: Mellon Faculty Fellow, Michael Iyanaga.
Michael Iyanaga (Ph.D., UCLA) is Mellon Faculty Fellow in Latin American Studies at William & Mary. His primary research interests are Catholic musical practices in Brazil and the Americas, as well as history and theory in ethnomusicology. Global Studies is an interdisciplinary program that brings together the study of culture, history, languages, literature, politics, and religions of major world regions to explore the ways in which global forces are realized in and through local contexts, and the interconnections between global regions.
