[PAST EVENT] Hurricane Praxis - Visual Conversations about Hurricane and Climate Change in the Caribbean
March 27, 2025
5pm - 7pm
Access & Features
- Open to the public
In the present climate of rising sea levels and projected territorial losses, can art change how we understand natural disasters? Artistic responses to devastation caused by hurricanes are part of a longer history of how the Caribbean confronts and visualizes extreme weather. This lecture will explore how artists have captured the impact of these events, building a powerful visual vocabulary that speaks to the region's vulnerability to climate change.
