[PAST EVENT] U.S. Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims Hearing
April 1, 2015
9:30am
This Wednesday, April 1, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims will be in William & Mary Law School's McGlothlin Courtroom at 9:30 am (seating time for 10:00 am hearing) hearing an appellate oral argument. This is a rare and valuable opportunity to see two very experienced appellate attorneys argue before a three judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Following the oral argument, the judges will remain in the courtroom to answer questions from students.
The case is McKinney v. McDonald, and the issue will be one involving statutory interpretation of what Congress meant when it said that a condition that pre-existed service does not qualify for VA disability benefits.
