Join us for the inaugural Marshall-Wythe Lecture in Legal History. We are very pleased to be hosting Professor William E. Nelson. On Monday, February 19th, at 4:30 PM, Professor Nelson will present ?The Red and the Blue: Diverging Attitudes toward Racial Discrimination in Twentieth-Century Texas and New York? in room 119 at the Law School. Professor Nelson is the Judge Edward Weinfeld Professor of Law at NYU Law School. Free and the public is welcome.
About Professor Nelson (excerpted from his faculty biography)
William Nelson has been active as a legal historian since the publication of his first history article in the New York University Annual Survey of American Law in 1966. Over the intervening years, Nelson has published two prize-winning books, eleven other books, and numerous articles in leading law reviews and history journals. Nelson has been a mainstay of NYU School of Law?s first-year teaching faculty since he returned to the Law School as a professor in 1979. Read more.
