Don McGahn is the former White House counsel to President Trump. Under his tenure, McGahn oversaw the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. He obtained his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1994 and a Master of Laws from the Georgetown. McGahn was nominated to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) by President George W. Bush and appointed in 2008. Following his departure from the FEC, McGahn worked for law firms Patton Boggs and Jones Day. McGahn was also chief counsel for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).
