Briar Woods High School's Guitar Ensemble will be performing in the Comey Recital Hall at 7 pm on April 19th, 2024. The Falcon Guitars of Briar Woods High School is a group of young guitarists under the direction of Dr. Michael D. Murphy. They are from the Loudoun County Public Schools System in Virginia, which is known for having some of the best public school guitar programs in the United States. The guitar program at Briar Woods High School was initiated nineteen years ago by Dr. Murphy. The Falcon Guitars will perform a diverse program which will include classics by Michael Praetorius, and J. S. Bach. The program will also include Brazilian music by Celso Machado and the Irish Folk Medley by Jeremy Sparks.
