Report Card

As we celebrate W&M Education Week, join us for a panel discussion on What a ‘Just’ System of Education Would Look Like.

Dr. Jamel Donnor, professor of education, will introduce the Report Card, a project created to raise awareness of the progress, accomplishments, and needs of Black students in Virginia’s K-12 public schools. This year’s Report Card will focus on the State of Black Students in K-12 Schools.

School of Education Dean Robert Knoeppel will moderate a panel discussion on the importance and inherent good of public education in sustaining democracy in America. Panelists include Meredith Kier, Gerdelman Family Term Distinguished Associate Professor; Janise Parker, assistant professor of school psychology; Elizabeth Talbott, professor and associate dean for research & faculty development; and Reginald Wilkerson, assistant professor.

Before the talk, join the School of Education community for a reception of light hors d’oeuvres.
