The Virginia Institute of Marine Science Marine Advisory Services department is pleased to
offer a new educational resource opportunity for charter boat captains, mates, and
members of the recreational for-hire community. This free winter webinar series will focus on timely marine science and business topics.

Join us as we begin our webinar series with presentations about the future of cobia
management in Virginia on February 23, 2017. From 6:15 to 8:30 p.m.,
representatives from the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (SAFMC),
Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) and Virginia Marine Resources
Commission (VMRC) will speak about their respective agencies? roles in cobia
management and the timeframe for management processes.
